Welcome to Whispering Haven! My name’s Nick Batista and I’m thrilled to share my writing with you all and hopefully be able to give some of you a platform in the future! As someone who dreads big groups and putting myself out there, I’ve always found comfort in the quiet corners of my mind where my mind seems to flourish the most. I wanted a place to put these thoughts and ideas, hence the birth of this website.

About Me

Since I was a kid, I was always fascinated with reading and would read anything that I could get my hands on. I don’t have a favorite genre but a fantasy story that can put me in a unique world with tons of lore and knowledge always intrigues me. Anything that involves diving into a new world or creating my own is where I feel at home the most. Now having graduated from Montclair State with a bachelor’s in English and a concentration in Creative Writing, I have a drive to share my work with the world.

The Mission

Here you will find all sorts of writing from me. Whether it’s book reviews, personal tips, or even some of my own personal pieces, I want to make this a place for inspiration. I remember reading creative pieces for class in college and getting really helpful tips and tricks from them about not only writing, but my personal life as well. My hope is that people will come here and have that same feeling I did because quite frankly, feeling alone and helpless is one of the worst feelings you can have. Even if only one person is moved by my writing then my mission is successful.

I’m really excited to start this project and hope you’ll join me on this trip! I’m very new to blogging and such so expect updates to the site and more ways to interact, with the dream of this place being a safe place to discuss ideas and aspirations with others around the world.
